Careers  —  Governance & Documentation

Compliance Documentation Associate

Own the written record behind our clients’ control environments — the procedures, evidence files and registers that have to stand up when an auditor asks.

The written record

A governance system is only ever as good as the record it leaves behind. Take away the procedures, the versioned approvals and the evidence files, and what is left is a set of habits nobody can prove. That written record is what this role owns.

As a Compliance Documentation Associate you sit inside our Governance & Documentation team and work alongside consultants on live client engagements. You will draft and maintain policies, procedures, control descriptions and evidence files; keep risk and obligation registers accurate as engagements move; and make sure that when an auditor or regulator asks how a control works, there is a clear, current, correctly versioned answer.

This is a structured role with a defined standard, which makes it a genuine entry point for someone early in their career. It is also detailed work that rewards people who notice when a date, an approver or a version number is wrong.

Day to day

  • Draft, format and maintain policies, standard operating procedures and control descriptions against our in-house documentation standard.
  • Keep client risk registers, obligation libraries and control matrices current as engagements progress — adding new entries, closing retired ones, chasing owners for updates.
  • Assemble and index evidence files so that each control has a traceable artefact, a location and a retention date.
  • Run version control and approval routing: make sure the right reviewer signed the right version, and that superseded documents are archived rather than floating around.
  • Prepare documentation packs ahead of internal reviews, client audits and inspection readiness checks.
  • Log gaps and inconsistencies you find, and follow them through with the responsible consultant or client contact until they are closed.
  • Support consultants with meeting notes, action logs and follow-up tracking during client workshops.

What we expect you to bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in commerce, law, business administration, management, English or a related discipline. Final-year students graduating in 2026 are welcome to apply.
  • 0–2 years of experience. Internships or coursework in compliance, audit support, legal documentation, quality management or company secretarial work are a plus, but not required.
  • Strong written English — you will be writing documents that clients and auditors read.
  • Genuine attention to detail. This role involves checking dates, versions, approvers and cross-references, repeatedly and carefully.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Word and Excel or Google Docs and Sheets, including tables, formatting styles and basic formulas.
  • The discipline to follow a defined standard rather than inventing your own format, and the confidence to flag when the standard does not fit the situation.

Nice to have: exposure to ISO management systems, internal audit, SOX-style control testing, regulatory reporting, or a professional qualification in progress (CS, CA inter, LLB, CIA).

First six months

  • Weeks 1–4: documentation standard training, shadowing on a live engagement, first drafts reviewed line by line.
  • Months 2–3: you own the documentation workstream for one client, with a consultant reviewing before issue.
  • Months 4–6: you run register maintenance and evidence assembly independently across two engagements and contribute to inspection-readiness packs.

Pay and benefits

  • Annual salary of ₹3.8–5.2 LPA depending on experience and interview outcome, reviewed at twelve months.
  • Hybrid working from our Bengaluru office, or fully remote within India for candidates outside Bengaluru. Core overlap hours 10:00–18:00 IST, Monday to Friday.
  • Structured onboarding, a written documentation standard, and a named reviewer for your first three months — you will not be left guessing what “good” looks like.
  • Support towards a professional qualification after the probation period, including study leave for examinations.
  • Statutory benefits including provident fund and paid leave, plus 12 days of casual and sick leave and 18 days of earned leave annually.
  • Direct exposure to senior client stakeholders in a 2–10 person practice, rather than three layers removed from the work.

To apply, complete the form on this page — it takes about two minutes. If your background fits, we will contact you to arrange a short introductory call, followed by a written exercise and a conversation with the practice lead.

Averon Analytics never charges candidates any fee at any stage of recruitment, and we do not ask for documents beyond those required for standard employment verification after an offer is made.
